Chempolis and HDI team up for the technology cooperation of pulp and biochemicals from non-wood feedstocks
(Hangzhou, China)- Chempolis Oy has signed a long-term partnership agreement with China Hangzhou Project & Research Institute of Electro-Mechanic in Light Industry (HDI) on Cooperation in Non-Wood Based Biorefining Technology.
According to Chempolis’ Chief Technology Officer Pasi Rousu, HDI will be a very important strategic partner for Chempolis. He stated “we are very happy that now we can serve our customers from detailed process and machine development, and design to commissioning and start up of industrial biorefineries.” Mr. Guo Chaomin, President of China National Building Material & Light Industrial Machinery Group Corporation, the parent company of HDI, said that the mutual concept on environment protection and efficient use of resources, together with China’s huge market space, jointly strengthen the long-term cooperation in utilizing and developing Non-Wood Based formico® Biorefining Technologies.
The signing and implementation of this partnership agreement enhances the promotion of the new technology on the markets, and advances the technology progress in pulp and papermaking industries in China. This is of extremely important realistic and far-reaching significance in achieving energy conservation and environmental protection for pulp and papermaking technologies.
Finnish Consulate General in Shanghai, Science & Technology Counselor Jaani Heinonen, Chief of External S&T Cooperation Section of Science and Technology Department of Zhejiang Province Hong Jiqing, Director of HDI Liu Anjiang and Head of Pulping Department of HDI Yu Hong also attended the signing ceremony.
