(April 20th, 2009, Beijing, China)- Chempolis Oy has signed a long-term partnership agreement with China Beiyang Chemical Equipment of Tianjin University Co., Ltd. (“PACTU”) on Cooperation in Non-Wood and Non-Food Based Biorefining Technologies.

According to Chempolis’ Chief Technology Officer Pasi Rousu, PACTU will be an important strategic partner for Chempolis. He stated “we are very happy that now we can serve our customers from detailed process and machine development & design to commissioning and start up of industrial biorefineries.” Mr. Yu Yufeng, Vice General Manager of PACTU, said that “Chempolis is a leading-edge company in the development and delivery of non-wood and non-food based process technologies and production solutions for industrial utilization. Its biorefining technology is very much in line with the development needs of China”. PACTU is a leading company in China in the field of specific distillation design and supply of distillation products.
The signing and implementation of this partnership agreement enhances the promotion and delivery of formico® biorefining technologies on the markets and advances the technology progress in pulp & papermaking, petro & chemical and energy industries in China.
Signing ceremony took place in Beijing during the official visit of Finnish Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen and Minister of Employment and Economic Affairs Mauri Pekkarinen and their business delegations. Minister Mauri Pekkarinen attended the signing ceremony.
