Chempolis supplies the key systems for the formico® biorefineries. These systems include the following:
formicofrac™- fractionation of biomass with a biosolvent
formicodeli™- delignification of biomass for pulp production
formicopure™- purification of biosolvent, water, and chemicals
formicocont™- automation and control of the Formico™ processes.
Formicocont™ has been especially developed to control the formico® processes. The sophisticated software runs on commercially available platforms.

China’s NDRC visited Chempolis Biorefining Park

A high-level delegation from China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) visited Chempolis Biorefining Park in Finland on September 1 to get a hands-on experience of Chempolis’ formico® biorefining technologies and its recently commissioned biorefinery.

Chempolis to supply three biorefineries to China

Chempolis has signed a licence and EPC agreement with Tianjin Jiuqian Paper Co Ltd. to supply three formico® biorefineries, each capable of producing 100,000 t/a of bleached wheat straw pulp. Read more »
